DMG has been used with reportedly dramatic results to enhance stamina and treat and prevent breathing problems in animals, such as heaves, asthma, and allergic respiratory reactions in horses. DMG has been shown to help break down blood sugar by carrying oxygen to cells, thereby helping to oxygenate the blood, and has been used effectively as a preventative treatment against dust and smoke inhalation.
